Caroline Lucas, South-East England’s Green M.E.P has today supported the action taken by residents who have occupied ancient woodland to prevent it being destroyed as part of a road widening scheme and development access.
Commenting on the M.E.P's support, John Tyler of the West Sussex Green Party Said: "How refreshing it is to know there's a politician who is not afraid to say it as it is. Caroline Lucas has been in the forefront of the campaign to expose the folly of the governments house building policy. Caroline has explain many times that the figures demanded for new build starts were not sustainable due to the lack of infrastructure etc, now with a water shortage turning into a crisis Caroline Lucas has been proved correct".
Finally John Tyler commented on the position taken by Peter Bottomley, M.P for Worthing West and in whose constituency the scandal is.
"Clearly the gentleman belongs to the other Conservative Party, the one David Cameron is desperately trying to shake off with his Conservative Party's newly found green conscience. For not only has Peter Bottomley failed in his duty as an M.P to be proactive when there's such public concern and media interest over an issue, he then insults the public by accusing them of not letting him know there's an ecological disaster about to take place on his patch. It's no wonder voters are staying away from the polling stations".
